Christ Is Risen!

Christ is Risen!  Alleluia!  This is a day of great joy for us all, and especially for God's chosen people, those that the world rejects, the poor, the hungry, those of different skin color, different religions, gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered people, and all who are persecuted for being different.

Christ died a rejected person's death, a horrible, painful death on a cross.  And Christ did this for us to show us the depths of God's love for us.

Christ came to earth, preached, taught, healed, suffered, died, and rose again from the dead so that we might know the true meaning of love.  A love that is not based on human ideas.  A love that has a place for those of us who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgendered.

And, if Christ's death is not to be in vain, we need to recognize and accept the love that God has for us.  And, we must share that love with others, even those who persecute us.

Dear sisters and brothers, let us celebrate today, and everyday, God loves us as we are, as God's beloved children.  God will not turn from us, rejecting us because of who we are.  God created us and we are good.
